Interactive Boards

Smart classrooms are at the center of the technological revolution at Colleges, schools and training centers. Imagine a classroom where the lecture is projected on an electronic board,  the professor explain, write notes and comments using electronic ink on the same image being projected.  The professor teaches his lecture and at the end both the lecture, image and comments written on the board are sent to the students via e-mail.

No software to learn, plug and play technology through interactive boards, a state of the art technology from Polyvision. The interactive boards surface can be used to both project electronic images from a LCD/DLP projector, write comments through an electronic marker or just simply use as a regular white magic marker board. The high quality surface comes with a lifetime warranty.

Mobile roller stands are popular options to move the board from one room to another  maximizing the use of the interactive board on multiple rooms.

Another popular element of smart classrooms are Thin clients, a powerful technology designed by Hewlett Packard.  Thin clients are powerful computer terminals: economical, reliable, virus free solutions. Thin clients can run normal Microsoft Office software, internet and other normal applications which are installed on desktops. Thin clients rely on application being installed on a central server (which in most cases institutions already need to keep central databases and e-mail).  Thin clients do not have a hard drive or a CD/DVD drive, moving parts that often fail in normal systems, instead thin clients have USB ports that allow users to store their work on a USB flash drive. A main result is that thin clients are more economical than desktops, more reliable and are immune to computer viruses since the virus can not store or change the configuration of the thin client.  Typical warranties in this technology are 3 years versus 1 year standard warranties on desktops.
